Wear and Impact Grid CERAMIC IMPACT PROTECTION PROCEDURE
WEARCON IMPACT GRID is a ceramic impact protection procedure comprising of Mentis Grating mild steel Recta Grid filled with cylindrical ceramic tiles and supported with WEARCOAT TP a 100% solids modified epoxy resin system containing sapphire hard alumina ceramic to withstand severe cavitations, tough abrasion and high impact.

Applications:
The WEARCOAT TP ceramic lining compound is evenly distributed over the required area of the Mentis Grating. The cylindrical tiles are forced into position, filling every square of the grid. The ceramic compound is evenly spread over the entire area of the prepared grid, smoothed and finished off to ensure an even thickness of the lining throughout.
SURFACE PREPARATION
A properly prepared surface is important to the end result and lasting durability of WEARCOAT TP. Steel surfaces should be dry grit blasted to SA 2.5 with blast profile between 50-70 microns to leave the surface free of oil and grease contamination. The IMPACT GRID application is done by our trained technical staff at our factory or on site.

WARNING
When using epoxy resin systems, care should be taken to avoid contact with skin, eyes and clothing. Use gloves and eye protection when handling. Do not inhale vapour. Ensure there is sufficient ventilation throughout the work area.
